iPhone 16 Rumors: Apple Poised to Revive Vertical Camera Design from iPhone X Era. Here’s the Latest Update.
Apple is poised to introduce its highly anticipated iPhone 16 series at a September event this year, featuring a return to a significant design element from the iPhone X, according to recent rumors. Ahead of the unveiling, speculations have been swirling about the key features of the upcoming devices.
A new rumor, courtesy of tipster Majin Bu referencing the iPhone 16 series camera protector, suggests that Apple might adopt a vertical camera layout for both the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus. Furthermore, it’s speculated that the iPhone 15 Pro model will receive a boost with a new 48MP ultra-wide-angle lens. This upgraded sensor, expected to be 1/2.55 inch with 0.7µm pixel dimensions, promises enhanced image detail and an improved macro mode.
In addition, the iPhone 16 Pro could boast a 5x zoom camera, while the zoom functionality of the iPhone 16 Pro Max is anticipated to remain consistent with the iPhone 15 Pro Max. There are whispers of a slight upgrade to the main camera of the iPhone 16 Pro Max, potentially featuring a custom 48MP Sony IMX903 sensor with a 1/1.14-inch size, marking a modest advancement over the previous Sony IMX-803 sensor.
Reports also suggest that Apple might enlarge the display sizes of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max models.
